How Do You Calculate Return On SIPs Factoring in All the Operational Costs?

I am a value investor; I do not calculate the return of any portfolio in the conventional way of ‘Net Asset Vale’, which in turn is based on the market price of the underlying stock.
I go by the intrinsic value method.
Under the philosophy of ‘Value Investing’ I follow, the returns are calculated not on quarterly basis but only at the end of a very, very long investment period of 20 to 30 years. The method of calculating is very simple. Add all dividends received, during the investment period, add the capital appreciation (market value at the end of the long investment period minus the actual investment) less charges collected by finally less the inflation over the investment period.
Please learn the art and science of value investing; it could change your life!
